Arrival. Will be met at Colombo Airport and transferred to a boutique/deluxe/standard hotel in Colombo. After a short rest proceed on a city tour of Colombo. See the Pettah Bazaar, the Fort area, a city park and also a residential area in Colombo.

Leave after breakfast for Sigiriya visiting the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela en route. After a short rest, explore the rock fortress of Kasyapa, which dates back to the 5th Century A.D. See the ruins of Kasyapa’s palace on the summit of the Sigiriya rock and the gallery of ancient frescoes.

After breakfast proceed on an excursion to the medieval capital - Polonnaruwa, which dates back to the 2nd Century B.C. It rose to fame during the 10th and 12th centuries. Tour the ancient city, visiting the council hall, Shiva Devale, Watadage, rock inscriptions of Nissankamalla and the Gal Vihare amongst other interesting sites. In the afternoon transfer from Polonnaruwa to Minneriya National Park in order to proceed on a jeep safari.

After breakfast proceed to Kandy visiting the Dambulla caves (1st Century B.C.) en route. Next, a garden of spices will be visited to view and sample a wide array of spices. Continue to Kandy, visiting a house of batik painters en route. In the afternoon visit the city of Kandy, nestled snugly amidst hills. Kandy was the seat of the Kandyan kings from the 14th Century. The city is a repository of Sinhala culture, having traditions dating back to the origin of the Sinhala civilisation. During the city tour, visit the Kandy bazaar, the arts & crafts centre, the lake, a gem house/lapidary, the Temple of the Tooth Relic and the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens where nearly 4000 species of plants are found. The longest river in Sri Lanka, the Mahaweli, encircles the gardens. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show.

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya, visit a tea estate and tea factory en route. This region is world famous for its production of high quality tea. In the afternoon explore the town of Nuwara Eliya, the Golf course, the former racecourse and also the Nuwara Eliya Lake.

After breakfast proceed to Yala via Ella, Wellawaya. Tour the Yala national wild life sanctuary en route. Yala is famous for large herds of wild elephants and deer, crocodiles, wild buffaloes and peacocks. A large variety of bird life can also be seen. The most unique at Yala is the Leopard Safari which can be organized on request.

After breakfast leave for Galle via coastal route. On arrival in Galle do a city tour. Thereafter, transfer to Beach Resort of your choice.
